I keep landing at the start. Built HR department at 500,000 sq ft manufacturing facility(Poly-America / Poly-West). Started when it was still dirt. Spent a decade creating and centralizing numerous HR programs to move away from decentralized structure (GAF). Now, five years standing up new 'business unit' inside a not-for-profit (ICF). Different industries, same moment in each: nothing's there yet and I'm building it from scratch.
Outside work, same thing. Blue water sailor, rock climber, Vegas nightclub photographer, freelance video editor, self-taught software developer. Now niching down hard on AI. Different skills, same driver. My 'superpower' is having the pain tolerance to be frustrated (new) at something and keep showing up to master it anyway.
Always happy to connect with like-minded people who need help passionately building something interesting. If that's you, reach out.

Two kinds of people tend to find their way here. The first: you're at the top and there's nobody left to talk to openly. The board wants results, the team needs confidence, your peers are competitors. That's a specific kind of alone, and most people don't hedge the risk. Let's keep you moving forward.
The second: you've mastered something and now want to start over. You sold a company. Hit your ceiling. Or accomplished a life long goal. Now you're staring at a blank page and it's disorienting when your north star moved. That gap is exactly where I work.
We're a fit if you want clarity, and to act. Endless deliberation is not for us.
I take on only two clients at any given time. If you're interested, reach out.
